PhotoChromic is a framework for creating and managing your NFT identity on blockchain networks, software services and DApps. PhotoChromic introduces a unique use case for non-fungible tokens (“NFTs”) by integrating them with user identity, to develop a biometrically managed model of identity on the Blockchain. PhotoChromic is the gateway that enables web participants to easily mint a biometrically enabled, secure identity token used for verifying online interactions, without giving away critical personal data, ultimately unlocking limitless opportunities by being empowered with autonomy over their biggest asset – their identity.

• Soulbound Edition: The Soulbound Collection of the PhotoSapiens, is a biometrically-enabled NFT, which can be used to authenticate, verify, and attest identity on the Blockchain. By virtue of the fact that it is generated by the user’s unique biometrics, and it is therefore non-transferable. As part of the Soulbound Collection, the user will be able to create their own ENS sub-domain and will be directed to an approved identity verification partner for identity verification purposes.

PhotoChromic is a next-generation NFT in that it is an NFT with real world utility. The PhotoChromic NFT enables you to verify your identity without exposing any of your underlying personal data. By bonding your identity to an NFT, you quickly, easily and cost-effectively verify your identity and the identity of the person with whom you are interacting. In this way, PhotoChromic can fast-track your interactions online doing away with repetitive, invasive and abrasive KYC / AML processes. What’s more, PhotoChromic is not only operates in compliance with GDPR, it also operates in compliance with the draft Transfer of Funds Relation that was approved by the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) on 31 March. PhotoChromic is powered by Ethereum standard tokens:

• ERC-721 identity NFT as a unique NFT representing a certain identity.

• ERC-20 $PHCR as a means of governance.

The PhotoChromic ERC-20 token that runs on the Ethereum blockchain serves three distinct purposes: governance over the network, bonding of identities to assets, and staking. PhotoChromic builds on ERC721, the leading standard for NFTs, and allows for integration in a dApp or trading on marketplaces such as LooksRare, OpenSea or Rarible. Using the chain agnostic addressing scheme for NFTs (CAIP-19), PhotoChromic identities can be referenced in a standardized format.

The utility of being able to bond one’s identity to assets such as documents, art and collectables is globally applicable. ID token holders will have complete control over the protocol, and be able to bond their identities to digital and physical assets.
